The similarity of Arnold Clavio(GMA7) and Luchi Cruz-Valdes(ABS-CBN)

Arnold Clavio and Luchi Cruz-Valdes are both products of GMA 7 Network.

Arnold Clavio and Luchi Cruz-Valdes are both embarrassment to their fellow journalists(?).



Luchi Cruz-Valdes has been part of GMA’s Probe Team before she left in 2001 to join ABS-CBN (probably she have seen how the News and Current Affairs of GMA7 is deteriorating). Even broadcast journalist Cheche Lazaro had a problem with GMA7 Network. Cheche Lazaro and the Probe Team claimed that the GMA7 network was pressured on a certain topic about Pagcor. The Probe team had cut their 16-year tie with GMA7 network and decided to left the pathetic GMA7.

After moving to ABS-CBN Channel 2, Luchi Cruz-Valdes featured a malicious comics on her Special Assignment program. The malicious comics aimed to malign the personality of preacher Bro. Eli Soriano. The Special Assignment program of Luchi Cruz-Valdes based the episode on false witnesses of Iglesia Ni Cristo. The 'witnesses' presented by Luchi Cruz-Valdes are rejected members of Ang Dating Daan group and joined Iglesia Ni Cristo out of desperation. How can a journalist(?) like Luchi Cruz-Valdes will air a segment based on false witnesses and malicious comics? Are there any valid reason for it? I simply cannot understand it. What's the motive? For the greater good or for satisfying some evils? I'm just asking, by the way.

Lo and Behold, here comes another GMA7 Network fanboy who come with the name of Arnold Clavio (sometime being associated with Sarah Balabagan). Occasionally, Arnold Clavio is being upstaged by his "better-half" puppet, Arn-Arn of Unang Hirit. I never grew fond of Unang Hirit after GMA7 decided to let go of Kuya Daniel Razon because of religious reason. Unang Hirit is an early morning program full of TV commercials. Everything on the Unang Hirit show are sponsored. No Public Service whatever. All Profits.

(If you haven't noticed, this is the second time in this article that GMA7 Network has been linked for being pressured by outside forces. 1-GMA network terminated the contract of PROBE TEAM after the Pagcor Controversy 2-GMA Network decided to let go Daniel Razon because of religious persecution)

Arnold Clavio featured Bro Eli Soriano on his segment Case Unclosed. The report was PURELY one-sided as it ONLY interviewed the accuser Daniel 'puto' Veridiano. The absence of the one being accused is highly questionable. Why are you going to air a court case that is currently being heard on a legal court? The legal department of GMA7 Network should have been reminded by SUB JUDICE. Why is that GMA7 network very hasty on airing that particular report? Why is that GMA 7 network asking Bro. Eli Soriano to discuss the merits of the case on a national tv that will lead him to be cited for contempt of court (sub judice)?

The accusations of the accuser Daniel 'puto' Veridiano WAS ALREADY DISMISSED ON JANUARY 26, 2006 AS PENNED BY ALEXANDRO LOPEZ, ASSISTANT PROVINCIAL PROSECUTOR OF REGION III, SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA AND AS APPROVED BY JESUS Y. MANARANG, THE PROVINCIAL PROSECUTOR.

Strangely, RAUL GONZALEZ, SECRETARY OF JUSTICE, ON MARCH 21, 2006, DIRECTED REGIONAL STATE PROSECUTOR JESUS SIMBULAN TO ELEVATE THE RECORDS OF THE RAPE CASE TO HIS OFFICE, THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.

What's going on here? GMA7 and the PAGCOR Controversy and now, GMA7 is dancing with the Department of Justice? AFAIK, Felipe L. Gozon (current Chairman of the Board of GMA7) is a lawyer. How come he is allowing GMA7's (credibility?) be tarnished with these kind controversies? Man, respect should be earned over profits. GMA 7 Network, full of TV Commercials while losing respect from viewers?

As Arnold Clavio and Luchi Cruz-Valdes shares the same (unfortunate) fate of being /was (respectively) employed by GMA7, it leads me to wonder why is the GMA 7 have produced these kind of tv (news) personalities? What kind of work culture is in GMA 7 that leads on producing these kind of wanna-be journalists? I HOPE that students of Mass Communications will learn to distinguish whose the REAL journalists and who are just puppets that reads what does the script tells them to speak.
